What a sad commentary on the state of retail politics at the federal level: a Senatorial election focused on what might have been said forty years ago. I guess there are no substantive issues facing this country in the near future.

Many times I have told my daughter who is in her 2nd year at Yale Law School that she should always be cognizant of what's going on in her immediate surroundings...lest anyone have a cellphone camera or other electronic device that could place her in a bad light anytime in her future.

Hopefully, she will go into politics in the future...as a Conservative of course.
