Even the cops acknowledge these guys broke in yet the homeowner sits waiting for a stuffed shirt to determine if it was "self-defense"? Yeesh.
Never posted an article before, hope all formats OK.

If you can't spell your own first name, you might be good criminal material.

Somehow, I don't think there is any need to post photos this time.

I hope someone from NC can comment on this... But in Texas there's not much to self defense if you shoot an intruder in your home. Is it so messed up in NC that you have still have some other fear for your safety (on top of two people breaking into your house) before you're allowed to act in self defense?

Good job!
I would like to thank you for your careful notation of location. Some posts get really confusing, as a reader tries to puzzle out where the story took place. Sometimes there are no internal clues at all.

I bet those idiots regret ever going into that guy's house. That is a good lesson for them to learn or anyone else who considers breaking into someone's home. If you make to choice to break into someone's home you deserve whatever consequences come with it. Good for the homeowner for fighting back against those criminals.

This is a drug neighborhood ( I know for a fact) folks.
It was conveniently omitted in the article. :)

In some places. Out in rural areas, no. (Some years back it is rumored a deputy arrived on the scene of a shooting and told the homeowner, "You can't shoot somebody on your porch. (Grabbing the body by the collar and dragging it halfway through the door.) Gotta be in the house - like this."
But up around the university towns the liberal Democrats are in full cry, and they buy into the 'every life is sacred except yours' crap.
Not to mention they are corrupt as hell. Been keeping up with that lacrosse 'rape' case?

Sometimes there are no internal clues at all. I get frustrated at that, as well. Really, I think the media outlets - online versions of local newspaper & TV network affiliates - would do well to prominently display their city/state on their homepages. Seems like an obviously relevant piece of data.

I love how this article keeps the terminology of victim and suspect in the correct context.

By the way - I'm in Beaufort County, NC., a couple miles past the point where the pavement stops. Civilization is over Greenville way, in Pitt county, 35 miles "west away".
Occasionally we see folks pass through on the way to the Outer Banks. It's downright strange, seeing people driving by what ain't driving a pickup. What all do they do for a living, that they don't need something to carry the hunting dawgs?
