Support Our Troops - Boot Murtha Rally

Cambria County War Memorial Arena, Johnstown, PA    Sunday, Oct. 1st - 2:00 PM

Pre-Boot Murtha Rally Event: FLIGHT 93 MEMORIAL MOTORCYCLE RIDE!

Riders will gather after 10:00 AM at the Vets for the Truth Headquarters: 1001 Eisenhower Blvd.
in Johnstown for an 11:00 AM departure.  David Beamer, Todd's dad, will be speaking prior to send-off.

The ride to the memorial will be approximately 45 minutes, and a short reflection period will follow at the memorial.  The group will then return to the War Memorial Arena, arriving not later than 1:30 PM. The riders will then line up their bikes in front of the War Memorial Arena just prior to the commencement of the Boot Murtha Rally. cancelled due to rain forecast

Pre-Rally Entertainment: Pittsburgh country rock band Whiskey Grin. ( http://www.whiskeygrin.com )

Welcome by Rally co-chairman Harry Beam. Harry is a Johnstown resident, a retired Army Lieutenant Colonel and a highly decorated Vietnam Veteran.

National Anthem sung by Noel McLeary of Ligonier, PA (http://www.noelmclearyonline.com)

Salute to Veterans by Rally co-chairman Craig Minnick. Craig is a Johnstown resident, Iraq War Veteran, and Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve.

Memorial Service conducted jointly by Gregg Garvey, a Gold Star father whose son Justin died in Iraq, and Chaplain Claude Newby, one of only two Army chaplains awarded the Combat Infantry Badge.

Rally Emcees: Radio personalities Jim Quinn and Rose Somma Tennet. Quinn and Rose co-host the popular Pittsburgh-based syndicated radio talk show "War Room with Quinn & Rose," (http://www.warroom.com )

Rally Speakers:

Earl Johnson, a survivor of the World Trade Center attack, who represents those who cannot represent themselves--those whose sacrifice caused America to take notice of the danger facing them.

John Wroblewski, a Gold Star father, whose Marine son died in Iraq.  John has a heart-wrenching, yet inspirational, story to tell about his family's sacrifice in the War on Terror.

Terry Pennington, whose son Rob resides in the USMC brig in Camp Pendleton, CA, the victims of the hysteria contributed to by John Murtha's anti-military remarks.  Terry puts a human face on the costs incurred by what John Murtha said and continues to do.

Keynote Speaker: David Beamer, father of Todd Beamer, leader of the anti-hijacker group on Flight 93 (the man who said, "Let's roll!")

Final Exhortation: Quinn & Rose

Closing Anthem:  “God Bless America”

Is the motorcycle ride being canceled because of the weather?

And can this be confirmed- are the pinkos still planning to go to Shanksville?
