Just from the little I have read of his story this afternoon, my first thoughts were bipolar as well. Also, pain meds (for the broken finger) could trigger depression. I know that steriods are forbidden in the NFL, but I wonder about the affects of 'natural' type body/muscle building compounds on the brain chemistry of someone who is bi-polar.

what I read recently is that Human Growth Hormone is not tested for, and its suspected that many football players use it.....
the side-effects or consequences, we might not learn for a generation....

When I was first given pain med, years ago, couldn't tell time of day or how much time had passed. If a friend had not accidentally been with me, may have OD. Knew I was in pain and knew the tablets were for pain. Was ready to take the second within minutes of the first, but the friend intervened. Let's not judge until we get the entire story. Pain meds can cause some people to do "crazy things"!
