I worked on Capital Hill for awhile after college. I never really spread this around because I never felt a need to run a guy down. But he has lost it. Dick Armey was a drunk, you could smell the liquor on him at all hours of the day. He was tanked many times when he was speaking on the House floor, in fact most of the time. He was just a conceited moody drunk, and it showed.
