It amazes me that Armey would pick religious conservatives as the destroyers of the Republican party. He ignores liberal republicans that have no principles. Attacking Dobson while ignoring the likes of Lincoln Chaffee and John McCain is like whining about a sliver while someone is beating you with a 2 x 4.

Good post. Perhaps Mr. Armey would like to respond to Lincoln Chaffee's decision to hold up John Bolton's nomination after Republican pulled his fat from the fire. Is that the kind of Republican Mr. Armey apparently now wants to court? Uh, huh. Good luck with that. Republicans like Mr. Armey should never again come before these religious folks and beg and plead for their votes at election time. Be careful what you wish for Mr. Armey. Many of these conservative would be happy to sit out an election or two while you figure out how to bring in all those moderates out there. (...shaking the dust off my sandals).
