Frist is a professional medical guy who already knew the info that a single cell could be taken from an embryo without affecting its viability.
I don't think he's waffled on immigration any more than our other senators, congressmen, and the president. They seem to be getting their act together with the FENCE bill. If he opposes that, then Frist is dead meat.
Cheney isn't running, but it's fun to speculate. He's articulate, smart, a devastating debater, and the logical one to continue the war on terror. His daughter is not him, but he would lose Christian conservatives if he came out in opposition to the marriage amendment.
He needs to just go with the Nebraska court and admit that the state has a compelling interest to steer procreative couples into marriage.
