I volunteered at Republican National Conventions in 1988, 1996 and 2000. I hope to be a delegate in 2008. I think that they choose a very good location because it's in the Central Time Zone, so it's easier for more people to attend, without spending a lot of money or time to travel to the convention. The last four Republican National Conventions were in New York, Philadelphia, San Diego, and Houston. The last one that was in the Central Time Zone was 14 years ago.
