I would like to see this. Years ago, when the negative campaigining began in earnest, I suggested to a radio talk show that candidates should be held liable for false claims. I suggested that those making false accusations against an opponent should be charged with slander and/or libel. Those who made false promises should be charged with fraud if they fail to live up to those promises.
The radio host said that no one would run for office. I say that is the only way to get control of the outrageous negative campaigns and rid ourselves of criminals in office.
