but he announced that the police will be less complacent in future,

Less complacent. Not totally UN-COMPLACENT, just less complacent.

I'm amazed his damnable statement lasted as long as it did.

If many Europeans have the same POV he does, they're worse than doomed.

The police were able to arrest ten youths, who meanwhile have already been released. The authorities want to defuse the situation by downplaying the incidents. Philippe Close, the chef de cabinet of the Brussels mayor, emphasized that there were “no direct confrontations between the youths and the police” and that there had only been “isolated incidents.” The judiciary will not press charges and the Brussels municipal authorities have announced that they will confer with the youths tonight to allow them to vent their grievances. “The youths wish to discuss prison security,” Mr Close said, “but it is not easy to discuss such a topic in the streets.”

This is what's laughingly called "European Justice".

Bad guys got no downside.

And my point stands that that is not what is being cirticized here. Comparing anti-Semitism to the deliberate targeting of Muslims may differ in detail, scale, and attempts at justification, but it is still religious bigotry.

The only issue I have about people who are fed up with Muslim radicalism (And unlike you, I do not consideranyone who supports terrorism and radicalism to be a "moderate" by any definition of the word) is that too many are too eager to bloviate too much about it and too few are willing to take concrete action to stop it.

But the Nuke Mecca Crowd isn't denouncing terrorists or their appeasers. The Nuke Mecca Crowd is denouncing all Muslims, no matter what their personal or political beliefs may be. That is anti-Muslim bigotry and that is wrong and that is why it can be compared to anti-Semitism.

Duly noted. I can direct you to Peisistratus and KingofQue whose accounts have been banned or suspended for comments that called for the violent murder of all Muslims, guilty or innocent, friend or foe. Hard to convince others you're against terrorism when you say things like that...

I agree with most of your statements,

Thanks for letting me know. I don't hear that nearly enough on some of these threads.

many immigrants might perceive a victory of the indigenous right (as opposed to their own far-right)

So every extremist is on "the right"???

Mecca is a segregated Islamic supremacist city. If you are kufir, you are not welcome there.

If Mecca (a pilgrimage to Mecca is one of the five pillars of Islam) is reflective of "true Islam", then it is an intolerant supremacist political ideology (Islamic law and Islamic territory go hand in hand, religion is a cloak).

People are free to practice whatever theological belief system they want, but we aren't so open with political belief systems (Nazism and Klan supremacists are monitored for violent rhetoric) and can openly condemn Communism. If more Islamic nations were tolerant of the open practice of other faiths and did not work to legally prohibit the conversion away from Islam to another faith (or simply abandoning religion for atheism or agnosticism), maybe the West would not be so skeptical.

Fasting all day is probably just wacking out their blood sugar levels. I'm certain that the adherents to the Religion of Peace would never riot. Give them a candy bar or two and I'm sure they'll settle down.

There is a distinction, though. And that is the history of Islam has been since the beginning, and continuing until the present moment, one of unremitting bloodshed, rapine, looting, and military aggression - in the name of God.

There is nothing comparable in Judaism.

And my use of the word "moderate" was sarcastic.

And I don't hate all Muslims or promote killing them. Just the jihadis.

Mormons don't let "Gentiles" in their temples either. I expect your unequivocal denunciation of Mitt Romney will be issued immediately.

You are free to be skeptical. Don't impose your skepticism on your fellow citizens.
