Yup - these kind of instant-response threads sometimes make FR look and smell like DU... So that's what that strange smell was.

Apparently he had a bad reaction to the medicine given him for his injured finger.

I shouldn't ping this thread. Some of the responses are absolutely embarrassing and shameful. Yeah, interesting how so many on here seem to know TO's sexual preferences.

pump his stomach because of a reaction?.....bah humbug .....
what medicine was it?....antibiotic?...pain killer?....unless he took well over the prescribed amount the first thing and probably ONLY thing they would do is STOP the Medicine, prescribe Benadryl and move on to a differant medicine....
pumping the stomach is reserved for overdosing.....

I wouldn't want him on the Rams, but he is a hell of a reciever. We have Holt, we don't need him.

Everyone likes to think the worse and assume the worse in T.O. and I'll wager he's clean.
Owens is a great player. Other than being a loud mouth and a showman, what has he ever done wrong? Has he ever broken the law, been involved in ANY incident with police or given up on a play in a game?
NO.
If you don't believe me, then post the link showing me an arrest or being with people who were arrested or was at a bar where a fight or something else happened or he took a boat cruise with hookers or went to Vegas or etc.
Enough of the Terrell Owens vitriol. This guy may be a staunch conservative Republican for all we know. He doesn't do drugs or alcohol. The likely scenario is prescription medicine, not meth or blow.
I do not and will not begrudge the man trying to maximize his football earnings while he still can. And with regard to his spat with McNabb, I blame McNabb for being who he is and the rest of the soft Eagle team for not beating his arse when he so needed/deserved to have it happen.

put his team first he would be a consensus hall of famer.
Really all he needs to do is the latter part or your statement I quoted above. He could talk all he wants if he would quit showing up teammates, the NFL public would have no problem with him.

I am not sure about insanity, but it is such a low observation sport, it is hard to know if you are identifying the best team. But since the body can not stand playing 162 or 82 games in a season, we get to have 16 or 12 in college games determine who gets to compete in the post seasson. That is a pretty small sample size, yet I guess that is part of the appeal.
Fans apparently care less about determining who has the best team than having few enough games for them to keep track of. And I am a fan of the game too even recognizing this terrible shortcoming.

According to reports, they didn't pump his stomach, but induced vomiting instead.

We should give him a cookie! He hasn't gotten arrested and he doesn't do drugs!
Just think about it this way: Hitler was a vegetarian. The Unabomber was a college professor. Ted Bundy was a fundimentalist Christian. FDR was a womanizer. Winston Churchill was a drunk. George W Bush abused cocaine. You'd hardly say that the former group was much better than the latter. (Unless you posted on DU)

Terrell Owens may be a grade A hole, but he's far from Hitler, the Unabomber, or Bundy.
(And who would've guessed Godwin's Law could apply to a sport's thread?)

According to reports, they didn't pump his stomach, but induced vomiting instead. I suppose they could do that simply by feeding him whatever Patrick Chukwuruh ate on Sunday night.

not sure any of your allegations are true. Although maybe the unibomber was a prof at one time and maybe Churchill was a drinker, but Im drunk right now, so live and let live.
If u got evidence GW snorted, produce it or have another brew friend.
To: Lancey Howard
I'm no big fan of T.O. but I will be VERY surprised if drugs are involved. I'm with you; the evidence is clear that Owens treats his body as a fine machine. His conditioning doesn't allow for a man given to profligate habits.
To: MikefromOhio
Agreed, though you have to admit the "choke on his ego" post was just flat-out funny.
I hope the docs remember to not give TO that particular painkiller again.
