That is indeed true. Nevertheless most soldiers were killed while serving in the infantry.

Your ignorance is, as already stated on this thread, "breath-taking".

My late Grandfather served in the trenches as a "Doughboy" in the 42nd Infantry Division. For some reason, I was the only one he confided in regarding his experiences in the war. From his accounts, my late Dad's accounts of WWII and my extensive studies about Europe, may we never bail out the French again!
