US Senator George Allen is responding to more allegations of racist behavior.
The latest comes from a former college teammate.
Former teammate Doctor Ken Shelton says, "Allen said he came to Virginia because he wanted to play football in a place where 'blacks knew their place.'"
"He used the N-word on a regular basis back then," said Shelton, who was in Salon.com.
During a hunting outing with Allen and another teammate, Shelton says Allen drove the three to a black neighborhood and "he proceeded to take the doe's head and stuff it into a mailbox."
Bishop Gerald Glenn says he used to see Allen as a Confederate flag waving redneck and has talked to the senator about his perception problem in the African American community.
While the two still disagree on key issues, Glenn says assassinating Allen's character does nothing for the voters of Virginia.
Allen told reporters today that he and Doctor Shelton weren't close and haven't spoken to each other in more than 30 years. Other teammates have released statements saying they've never heard Allen use racial slurs.
Allen's approval rating is down in the latest poll released today by SurveyUSA. The poll was taken last week, so the numbers do not reflect possible reaction to the Salon.com article.

What pisses me off is Allen should know better than to compare anyone to a monkey, or whatever he did. Now all these accusations at least have people thinking.
I was all for Allen '08, now I'm having to rethink. Anyone got an opinion on Mitt Romney? Surely he can't be as dumb as Allen's remark was.

Senator Allen needs to stand up and denounce these allegations or else the liberals are going to keep coming after him. Due to his multiple apologies, the liberals smelled blood in the water. This is what happens when Republicans apologize. See Trent Lott for details.

Just so you know, Molly Henningberg attempted to get an interview from this guy, but his wife answered.
She told Molly that, "THEY told us not to talk to Fox News.
No word on who THEY are.

A serial rapist and chronic liar in the Oval Office is quite alright, but school boy antics are to stay with a person for life. Disgusting!!!!!!!

This is a charge that can kill damn near anyone off. There are about six English speaking white men on the planet that can claim they never used the "n" word, so when Allen claims otherwise people just roll their eyes. It's like asking someone if he's quit beating his wife. The only way to counter this is to claim the same thing of Webb. With his background he has certainly used it more often than George Allen, and with his on the record remarks concerning the Tail-Hook scandal I guarantee there's a woman some where that he called an ignorant "c" word.

He's done for 2008. Only thing missing is an abusive spouse alligation.
And if you go back a couple of years ago...I posted all the pro's about Allen for '08.

Your going to believe a man that is coming out of the political closet after thirty years to do a character assasination? Why didn't this doctor speak up years ago when Allen first enetered politics?

Welcome to FreeRepublic.
I keep having to tell idiots this again and again: First, Allen didn't "call" anybody anything. He thought it was his name. The word "macaca" is Latin. Apparently "macaque" is an exceedingly obscure North African French slur. Well, that's what the Dems say and the press repeats. Some have said that in Italian, you could contrive the slur, if it exists, to be "macaco." Of course, if you decline it to the feminine (and why would you?) it would be "macaca," I suppose. If Allen was trying to slip a racial slur into his guess of the man's name, then he did it in a clever way and did it in Latin. If you have to have a bigot, have one that uses dead languages.
And I understand that "macaca" means "noble opponent" in Arameic, so who knows?
Oh, don't hit your head on the bottom of the bridge.

Wow! Looks like a full court press by the MSM to upend Senator George Allen! They want to beat him so bad they can taste it! I plan to vote for him. Webb is a shallow fraud.

I like everything I know about Mitt Romney---he may emerge soon (but only if he wants to) as one of the strongest candidates. The stupid "macaca" thing was apparently just a warm up for what was later to be revealed about Alllen.Something about these charges against Allen sounds exactly believable, like the details.Seems like his accusers are only too willing to stand by their accusations. I don't think the GOP needs their own version of Robert Byrd. Goodbye, George Allen. Not interested in him anymore. Allen has already risen to the level of his incompetence, and won't go beyond.

Doctor Ken Shelton may have been a team mate but he sure isnt a friend. Maybe Allen crapped in his helmet before a game one night.
Cant understand why a team mate would come out and say this crap unless he had a baaaad grudge against Allen or maybe he likes thinking he is important,or loves seing his name in print. I doubt he made many friends for his next class reunion. Bet he doesnt go.

I'm liking Romney more and more everytime I see him. One thing I think is clear that we need to make sure our nominee is an effective communicator. I love our president. I pray for him every night but he's just not that effective of a comunicator. IMHO. But I'm sure the dems will tell us that Romney once had 2 dates on the same weekend when he was single. LOL!

This story is so absurd that it's funny. The funnier part is that Allen is still gonna mop the floor with that nitwit he's running against.

Anyone got an opinion on Mitt Romney?
Though it shouldn't, I think the Mormon angle will do him in. They will make him spend half of his time apologizing for long-past church doctrines, or the typical racial makeup of Mormons. They'll probably find a couple of excommunicated Mormons who will try to dish some dirt. Under ordinary circumstances, this wouldn't matter - but I think Americans are probably still a little skittish about a Mormon POTUS, and will be easily spooked.
