The bottom line here is that these are OPINIONS and not facts. Media blew it, Dems laid and egg...

The Iraq conflict has become the .cause celebre. for jihadists, breeding a deep resentment of US involvement in the Muslim world and cultivating supporters for the global jihadist movement. Should jihadists leaving Iraq perceive themselves, and be perceived, to have failed, we judge fewer fighters will be inspired to carry on the fight.

Well, it does make that claim but it's not a 'bad thing' in my opinion. Before Iraq it was bases in Saudi Arabia, before that it was the Joooos, in fact since the Chicago White Sox won the World Series, the number of terrorists in the world has gone up about 25%.  Good Lord imagine what would happen if the Cubs won!

That is spin alright but "Iraq is shaping a new generation of terror leaders" doesn't give any clue as to the numbers which is what the initial whining was about. "Shaping" them could refer to them giving up or turning to legit means of getting their way, possible but not probably given what we know about terrorist leaders.
