I agree that the President had no choice but to declassify this information to the extent he did, however it is a shame that it was brought to this point and politicized by the left. The POTUS no matter who he is cannot continually be put in the position of exposing his tools to the enemy.

The fact that the Nancy Pelosi's and Harry Reid's of this world are willing to force the President to show to the world our planning papers in the mist of this war is unforgivable.

I would argue that the secret classified document was already exposed to the enemies the moment the NYT was provided with same. There could be no further harm done in providing the actual and correct reading of that document to the american people.
