He was fired by fox news and now has ratings along the same lines as the defunct Donahue show.
Olberman is cheep to pay so the ratings are not a profit drain on a network who has the same ratings as a test pattern.
Olberman is famous for his personal efforts to be on playgirl's sexiest news anchor list. (playgirl is a magazine for homosexuals.)

I don't think Olbermann ever worked for the Fox News Channel. He did work for Fox Sports Net and did the pre-game show for big Fox's baseball, though.
