Bullet not blade for Bali bombers (execution by gunshot considered “torture” by terrorists)

Indonesia will not meet a request by three Islamic militants sentenced to death over the 2002 Bali bombings to be executed by decapitation rather than firing squad, a police spokesman said today.

Lawyers of Amrozi, Ali Ghufron alias Mukhlas and Imam Samudra said last week that if the executions were to proceed, the trio wished to be beheaded.

"We have to follow our law, and our law does not recognise decapitation," national police spokesman Paulus Purwoko told reporters.

Amrozi ... says execution by gunshot is torture.

Executions in Indonesia are carried out by firing squad, typically at a secret time and location.

Lawyer Mahendradatta said last Friday that he planned to file a demand to the constitutional court asking that they review the procedure of execution planned to be used for the men, if their sentences were to be carried out.

Mahendradatta said his clients believed execution by gunshot was "torture" and they "asked to be executed the Muslim way, by being beheaded."

The 2002 Bali attacks left 202 people dead, mostly Western holiday-makers and including 88 Australians.

The three bombers were set to be executed on August 22 but their lawyers announced they would file an appeal a day beforehand, effectively delaying their deaths.

None of the convicts have expressed remorse over the attacks on nightspots, which were blamed on the al-Qaeda-linked Jemaah Islamiah regional extremist network.

OK, Jihadi. . .how about a TNT Suppository, just after being castrated and your unit fed to pigs in front of you ??

Oh, and since you'll need a little bit of lubricant, we grease the TNT up in Grade AAA Lard. . . .

After all, if being blown up is good enough for your victims, it's good enough for you. . .

It's amazing how we always suggest all these gruesome ways to execute these terorists, yet we don't do them. We will all pay heed when the next terrorist act happens here. We're getting too soft, just sitting back making up all these cool ways thinking it would scare the terrorists.

This is easy.

Shoot them through the neck with .22 caliber bullets that have been dipped in pig fat. Repeat as necessary until, the head is detached from the body.

Everyone wins.

It'll never happen anymore. The whole spectacle has become too public and the vocal "majority" (Notice I put that in quotes) wont tolerate any kind of treatment like that coming from the west or so called civilized countries. Same reason our ability to prosecute the Iraq war (in my opinion) has been so hammpered. I dont think you will ever see the kind of whole sale bombing or killing that we saw in WWII or WWI anymore.
