Yeah, Murtha's campaign "strategery" seems to be to ignore his opponent. He no doubt things it makes him look above the fray, but to me it makes him look like a coward.

Hopefully, folks in your district will think so too come November.

"Yeah, Murtha's campaign "strategery" seems to be to ignore his opponent."

Well early on the Murtha campaign made two foray's into attacking her and both "backfired", so they then retreated back into silence. And hey, why not? What's truly important to remember is that Murtha has not been up against a "credible" Republican opponent in 30 years. I have no doubt that, deep down, he can't quite believe that this time is any different. ;)

"He no doubt things it makes him look above the fray,"

nah, see above. ;)

"but to me it makes him look like a coward."

"Arrogant" is the word I'm hearing. :) And I mean "hearing", not saying. (Along with "he crossed the line" and "it's time for a change" ;)

Silence is a risky strategy at best. No one likes to be taken forgranted and the longer he waits to actually spend some of those campaign millions, the better it is for Irey, who is out there, on the ground, meeting and greeting, and foremost, "listening" to the people of the 12th. :)

"Hopefully, folks in your district will think so too come November."

Thanks to "redistricting", I no longer live in the heart of the 12th, merely on the northeast tip of it. I can't speak to the mood of the bulk of the district, only to the changes I've seen around here, which might be "subtle" to those in other areas, but are downright "unprecedented" around here. :)

Even relying on the "myth" of "Murtha's pork" is losing it's allure, when faced with the *fact* that the area continues to lose jobs and population while the rest of the country is booming. Heck, just drive over the mt. to Altoona and take a look. ;)

Hmmm, come to think of it, there really isn't much he *can* campaign on in the area, so I guess "silence" probably is his best bet after all. ;)

And while I'm Hmmmmmming, did I just happen on yet another "seed"? Yup, maybe I should start talking, or rather "asking", "Where's John? When was the last time you saw him in the area? Or anywhere besides on TV or in the paper? Last I heard, he was "campaigning" in CO. Maybe he should "run" out there? ;)
