Waging a nuclear war makes sense all the way up until the counterstrike starts to hit, then the best laid plans. . .

Ahmadinejad shoots off one nuke then 15 minutes later him and his whole country is annihilated? Doesn't sound like you need to game very much for that.

They should just wait for the dems to win back the gov't, then they won't even have to fire a shot.

Waging a nuclear war makes sense all the way up until the counterstrike starts to hit, then the best laid plans. It still makes sense if your purpose in starting the war is to bring on the apocalypse because you are a religious fanatic who can't wait to die for Allah.

Obviously non-sense...the only reason Iran would want to acquire nuclear weaponry would be in order to create a defensive "sanctuary" situation where nobody would mess with them. They don't want to finish like Iraq or Afghanistan... Almost....
The whole "we are preparing for nuclear war with the US" is a ruse to permit Iran to develop military capabilities that will permit Iran to project hegemony over its neighbors, and thus have de facto control of most of the world's oil resources, while not alarming their neighbors until it is too late for them to respond. So long as all of their military development is couched in terms of "standing up to the Great Satan" (the US), or in the alternative, the Little Satan, (Israel), muslims around the world are lulled into a false sense of security. When their neighbors realize what Iran's REAL objectives are, it will be too late for them to take measures to match the threat, and Iran will then have de facto control of the the entire region, and its oil resources.
The Iranian government is part of the Jihadist movement, too. They don't want Al Qaeda calling the shots when they can call the shots themselves over installing Islamic Theocracies in their own image throughout the Moslem world. And don't forget, the Iranians are.... SHIITES! Most of their neighbor are..... wait for it..... SUNNI!
It's all about power.

"Iranians are very smart, educated people and are trying to put there regime in a safe untouchable position thanks to nuclear weapons."
And some cheer them on it seems...even on a conservative website.
