"Bill Clinton is a smart (and calculating) politician."

No, Bill Clinton is an ill bred, morally bankrupt junkyard dog, and I guess that would make him a typically "smart" Democrat politician but never a statesman.

Wow. I'm shocked BK could miss mark by that wide a margin. What we saw was the result of hitting a raw nerve of a pathological liar. Stress brings out the tue nature of a person.

I believe Clinton has never done anything in his life for no reason. He either acts for ulterior motive, self gratification, or impulsively. Acting impulsively is of course a direct result to Right-wing provocation (in his feeble mind).

When Clinton was speaking of terrorism back in the day (and he didn't do it that often), I just couldn't get my head around it. The Lewinski thing was going on, it was obvious to even the most left leaning voter that he was a liar and a letch. What's a serious political junky to make of all this? The man's credibilty was totally shot as a serious leader. I mean, he was busted doing fat chicks in the Oval Office for criminy sakes! So,if he was indeed taking hits from the right wing for 'obsessing over Bin Laden' as he claims, then it was his own fault for destroying his own credibility.

With that said, Bill Clinton woke up every day with one true goal in mind....remaining popular. Every decision he made, every thought, every speech, was done with the idea of staying popular. Using that criteria as a measuring stick, he was quite successful...a master even. However, as President Bush shows, a President must sometimes do what's unpopular because it is the right thing to do. This is called leadership which President Clinton never really possessed in spite of his great gifts.

With Wallace, Clinton seemed to be mad at us, the voters, and saying, "I did everything you wanted me to do...passed Welfare Reform, kept the economy good, etc etc...and now you're turning on me....by criticizing my record on terrorism when the polling data never showed that you wanted me to fight terrorism." And, in fact, he's right! We didn't ask him to do it and as a result he didn't do it. But dude, you're the President! Not us!

The real problem is this: President Clinton never understood the difference between 'leading the country' and 'keeping the people happy.' And, that will be his legacy.

I agree with you. I think it was staged by Clinton. I didn't see the interview, just the part from Drudge and the audio on the radio, but Laura Ingraham said Bill Clinton started off the interview angry. It also gives legitimacy now that Fox News is the right wing organization. The same as him saying something is racist. Even if it's totally untrue, the accusee will be forced to watch what they do/say to prove they aren't racist, conservative biased, etc. Hill and Bill don't do anything that isn't politically calculated. The only thing Bill could careless about the political ramifications of are his horndog ways--that's even more on the top of the food chain than politics.

Mr. Wallace said after the interview, "As he leaned forward -- wagging his finger in my face and then poking the notes I was holding -- I felt as if a mountain was coming down in front of me."

Mr. Wallace said more on Fox on Monday afternoon September 25: "He just blew," said an incredulous Wallace about the former president. "What set him off," continued Wallace, "was one of my questions. But it was clear President Clinton had been boiling about ABC and their recent show ("The Path to 9/11") and I just hit a raw nerve."

Wallace said he did not think President Clinton's reaction was scripted or planned and that "he was still fuming as he left the studio."

Wallace also said his producer tried to cut off the president to save embarassment, saying off camera, "End this interview right away," but that the presdinet continued speaking.

DOES ANYONE HAVE THE SCREEN CAPTURE FROM THIS SKIT?:
It should be from 1992.

This is the Ancient Saturday Night Live skit. (from democrat primary season)

Bill Clinton tearing appart the podium at a Start Trek convention because some OTHER democrat was invited to the other Start Trek convention first.

(it was a parody of C-Span and their one microphone)

Clinton got ticked off because Hillary didn't tell him the answers to the questions that Wallace asked. Dems don't do well at ad lib. They must be scripted beforehand...think of the celebrities (mostly high school grads or high school drop outs) they need the Democrats prepared script... think about how poor Barbie Striesand muffed up her lines twice....

Beelzebubba demonstrated why he's a first-rate a-hole, IMHO! The "Do you feel you could have done more to catch OBL?" was more softball than confrontational and is asked repeatedly by David Gregory, Helen Thomas, et al, in more stronger terms to President Bush. Wallace should have come across the table and laid a right cross on Blubber's lying lips.

Chris Wallace did not stoop down to the same level as ex-President Clinton was and he maintained his composure. Chris Wallace should be proud.

A cross on Willie's lips would've made his head explode.

Clinton is a political BOOB

Got 43% in 92 same as Carter Mondale and Ducakis in their LANDSLIDE DEFEATS

Couldn't get 50% in 96 with a good economy peace time and fawning Media

Caused the DEMS to lose congress in 94 with his abortion --gays in the military and Gun Control and they haven't recovered yet

Campaigned against Bush in FLA and he wins in a landslide

Runs out to Wellstone's funeral and helps lose a senate seat

Lost FLA and the presidency for Gore in 2000 with his kissing Castros's butt over Elian Gonzales

Most of the time I don't know what Kristol is smoking. This article presumes that little performance helped anyone but Republicans. I can only say, "Kristol, WTH?"
