Oh puhleeze.
" I just don't get it."
SecDef for Hillary.
Yea, I think you're right. I think Clarks military unit loaned the tanks and stuff to the FBI. Ann Richardson requested it from the military and coincidentally Clark was stationed at the base at the time. No direct link however. My mistake
May the Lord preserve us from such an outcome.
He was such a joke as a presidential candidate in '04. We should hope he is there nomineee in '08.
"Fox should drop him as 'military annalist'
his delusions of Grandeur are equal to Bill Clintons."
It was National Guard equipment, if I remember correctly. Entire episode was unnecessary. Imagine Richardson and Reno getting together to come with a strategy to deal with such a potentially disaterous situation. All they had to do was circle the compound and wait. He would have self destructed.
For eight years, Clinton did nothing - nothing. No plan. No action. No diplomacy. No intelligence. No meetings -- unless you count trysts with interns.
Clark is a dangerous man, and as I recall he had an extremely ominous interview back in 2004 in which he said that the Constitution was intended to protect the State from *religion* (or words to that effect).
Interestingly enough, Clark is of Jewish ancestry, he speaks fluent Russian (and other languages I believe) and many prophecy-oriented evangelicals have suggested that he is an ideal candidate for the eventual biblical Antichrist.
Of course Wesley will have to get in line behind Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, George Soros, Colin Powell (some say Powell is the reincarnation of the ancient conqueror Hannibal), oh the list goes on and on, accusations of being a candidate for the Antichrist almost demonstrate that one has "arrived" so far as the fear they instill in those who oppose them.
Weasley Clark was in command of the armored division at Fort Hood during the siege at Waco. He's the guy who provided the armor and weapons that Janet Reno used to burn down the compound and incinerate the children.
That's why clinton promoted him. That and the curious fact that they are both Rhodes Scholars from Arkansas.
Actually, Clark tried to start a war with Russia not once but twice, because he gave orders to bomb a couple of Russian observation ships in the Aegean during the war against the Serbs. Fortunately he was overruled.
This from the guy whose plan for dealing with radical Islam was to bomb Christians in the Balkans in support of Muslims stealing their land.
As for the plan against bin Laden, a proposed presidential directive outlined an extensive CIA program to arm anti-Taliban forces in Afghanistan. The plan, which later became the cornerstone of Bush's response to the attacks, was approved by Bush's team Sept. 4 and was awaiting his review after a trip to Florida that began Sept. 10.
It was sitting on National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice's desk when the attacks occurred.
He also might want to read Chapter 6 and Chapter 8 of the Commission's statement, which contradict his assertions.
The truth is that terrorists have created this mess, and that they have been encouraged by America's past failures to strike back and aggressively go after terrorists.
Clark complains that Republican's don't have a "way out".
There is only one way out. That is victory. Anything else is simply a retreat while the problem continues to grow and become a more and more serious threat.
Republicans are offering a way out. It's just not quick and simple one. Democrats offer a quick and simple retreat, but their retreat doesn't address the problem. It isn't a way out. It isn't a solution. In the end, it's simply encouragement to the terrorists that their tactics will work in the long run.
It's also amazing how liberals will criticize the current administration for the relatively small number of civilian casualties, but ignore the much higher collateral damage that were the result of the rules of engagement in Kosovo where Clark was the commander.
The suggest that the War in Iraq has made terrorism more likely, yet they ignore the fact that when NATO started bombing Kosovo, the Serbs appeared to have increased the activities of their death squads in response to the bombing.
The massive bombing campaign in Kosovo, without ground forces to provide some semblance of order created a massive refugee crisis.
Rumsfeld's handling of the Iraq war hasn't been perfect, but the Iraq war has been far, far less harmful to the civilian population than the Kosovo conflict, and in Kosovo there was far less foreign interference bolstering our enemies.
Kosovo was an example of how not to force regime change. If the opponents of the Iraqi war had a shred of honesty, they wouldn't be joining up with Clark, or even silently allowing his comments to stand.
And his tour as Supreme Allied Commander is the only reason the Dims will consider him a candidate for President.
"I'm sorry, but all I can say here is "Cluck Fark"."
DOUBLE that thought!

The irony in Democrats claiming that Bush did nothing for 8-months prior to the 9/11 attack is amazing when you consider that the Democrats and their media brethren did nothing but obstruct and attack Bush from the moment he stepped foot in office.
Bush not only entered office being delegitimized by Democrats and the media because of a contested election, he came in with a recession and a number of corporate scandals in the news. For months, the medicrats tried to make Bush the scapegoat for Enron and Ken Lay, as they tried numerous angles on how to tie Bush into this scandal.
From the immediacy of working on tax cuts to reinvigorate the economy, to the obstruction of Bush's cabinet and political appointments, the Democrats worked tirelessly against this president, destracting attention away from all other issues. Heck, one of the most important positions in dealing with domestic terrorism (Attorney General) was obstructed for weeks as Democrats made Ashcroft's qualifications and "Faith" an issue in his confirmation hearings.
Whether it was the ABM Treaty and SDI or the UN and the ICC and Kyoto...or the Chinese/Spy Plane crisis, Bush had one of the toughest 8 months of any president...without even considering 9/11. Heck, Chrissy Matthews practically had a meltdown after 9/11--not because of the 3000 deaths, but because it was a destraction to the corporate/Enron scandal that he thought Bush was involved in, as he endlessly pursed this issue for months on end. Unlike government shutdowns, pizza party with interns, and BJs in the Oval Office, Bush had a full-plate that was made even fuller thanks to Democrat/media partisans.
WACO weasley clark!

Balkans bump
Basically Wesley Clark is a war criminal because he was helping Muslims kill Christians. The very same SERBS he helped to kill were on the side of the USA in WWII; whereas the Muslims he was helping were working with the NAZIs. Hundreds of years ago it was the SERBS who stopped the Muslim hordes takeover of the world. Not only does Wesley Clark have a mental disorder; he is a criminal who is proud that he helped kill thousands of innocent people, IMO!
