NYC Abortion Clinic Sued For Allegedly False Advertising

A New York-based crisis pregnancy center operator is suing one of the most aggressively marketed abortion providers in New York City for alleged false advertising.

Expectant Mother Care, which has twice been cleared of false advertising charges made by abortion supporters, claims the "Dr. Emily" abortion clinics are illegally advertising in the "abortion alternatives" section of local telephone directories in violation of state law.

"The consumer cannot help but be deceived and misled by the blatant falsehood," Chris Slattery, founder of Expectant Mother Care (EMC) told Cybercast News Service in an exclusive interview Friday.

Slattery filed suit in New York Supreme Court last week, accusing the "Dr. Emily" abortion clinics of multiple violations of New York General Business Law Article 22-A, Section 349, which provides that "Deceptive acts or practices in the conduct of any business, trade or commerce or in the furnishing of any service in this state are hereby declared unlawful."

Lie, cheat and then kill. What a racket. Let's hope they all get closed down.

What's new. The left is rarely truthful about what they are. It is a crime they are trying to prey on expantant mothers who don't want an aboriton. These loons see every pregnacy as a potential aboriton.

I have abandoned a former concept I'd had that we have to immediately stop late-term abortions and work our way back, reducing the # of months allowable for the procedure as we go.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. It will take the same amount of pressure on elected officials to make them act regardless of the verbage, although the verbage of proposed legislation will be crucial to getting it done.

I think it's time to make noise, and put heavy pressure on them to stop abortion now. I don't know much about Constitutional Law but Roe v. Wade needs to be made to vanish.

Alan Dershowitz, no hero of mine, thinks Roe vs. Wade was a horrible decision.

It was. Even Roberts said, when asked where he stands on stare decisis, that it was poorly argued and poorly decided. Then he proceded to say he is in favor of stare decisis - let SCOTUS decisions stand as they are.

No surprises...the abortion supporters will go to any length to murder an innocent baby.

Stare got forgotten in the new sodomy case. No one objected, then. In fact, SCOTUS threw out all laws based on morality with the new decision.

Kudos to Chris Slattery and his crisis pregnancy centers, Expectant Mother Care.

While many of the pro-life republicans gave planned parenthood over $2 billion in Title X appropriations during the past 14 years, they gave Chris and other CPC centers nothing.

Megadittoes other than on the suggestion that the federales should fund crisis pregnancy centers. They should not fund those nor, needless to say, should they fund Planned Barrenhood. This is like vouchers for schooling. With the funds go the strings and the biased "investigations" designed to discredit the good.

Thomas Jefferson once observed that the worst of tyranny was to take a man's money to propagate what he despises. We both feel the wisdom of Jefferson's words when we are farmed to fund Planned Barrenhood (and a lot of other evils as well). Let us fight funding generally. Let it never be said of us that we must pay Planned Barrenhood because we wanted taxpayer funds for Chris Slattery's admirable efforts.

I fully understand that there is, to say the least, no "moral equivalency." Chris is moral. Planned Barrenhood is Satan's spawn on earth. I do remember that Chris was sued by Clinton's infernal Injustice Department (Janet Reno the WACO Whacko presiding) under the federal RICO statute for simply being a spokesman for rescues. Dubya could forgive any judgment and withdraw the suit, complete with fedgov press release containing profound apologies.

right, and as good republicans and good pro-lifers we should do everything possible to stop the pro-life republicans from funding planned parenthood $2billion as they have in the past 14 years while giving nothing to crisis pregnancy centers. We have both a political, and more importantly, a moral obligation to educate the public and write to our own congressman and all the other congressmen who continually vote for title x funding for planned parenthood. And perhaps, we will save the souls of these congressmen and the 250,000 lives per year planned parenthood terminates. I find it hypocritical and evil that pro life congressmen have appropriated $14 billion to planned parenthood and nothing to crisis pregnancy centers. Why do Jeffersonians in congress fund an organization that kills children and works against the republican party and when it comes to funding crisis pregnancy centers they give nothing based on Jeffersonian philosophy?
