With the help of a crooked little brokerage house in Little Rock, and an enthusiastic influence peddler ( a guy from Tyson Foods--wanted influence with then Arkansas Secretary of Agriculture Bill Clinton) a commodities account was opened. Mrs. Clinton put in her $1,000. She could either buy or sell some futures contracts (IT DIDNT MATTER WHICH) because the influence guy would take the other side of buy or sell. No names were written on the contracts (Street Name) which was legal back in those days. Later--that day or more--contracts were sold or bought back if short sale, and the influence guy took the loser contracts and Mrs. Clinton the winners. Brokerage house accomated this process. It's called "Parking the Trade".
We must purge DC of the professional politician and return to the idea of the citizen-politician; only then would we would break the power-and-corruption cycle.
Post-9/11, we no longer have the luxury of time or circumstance to abide that nonsense.
We certainly don't have the luxury of time or circumstance to survive another clinton. Indeed, we may yet not survive the first one.
Thanks for clarifying...
'Parking the Trade.' 'Trading the farm' (ours, not theirs) was/is operational also.
We could if the left would punish their own.
Their ascendancy to wealth started with this cattle futures deal and the White Water boondoggle. After leaving the presidency both got huge multi-million dollar book deals for schlock books ghost written by others. Hill's Chapaqua mansion and Georgetown chateau were purchased by others in nefarious deals. Bill makes millions by charging 6 figures plus for some BS speeches and both regularly sponge off the Hollywood glitterati. Daughter Chelsea inherited this same grifting character and landed a 6 figure plus job with no experience and after nearly being kicked out of Oxford for not attending classes. She is seen more hanging out in Europe with the jet set and with her boyfriend than she is ever on the job.
So the "losing" side was a guy who wanted to spend 100 thou to buy Hillary. No trades are marked until settle up when she takes all the winners and he takes the losers. Pretty neat work if you can get it.
Actually, it doesn't require the help of ANY politician.
We can purge DC of the professional politician... return to the idea of the citizen-politician... and thereby break the power-and-corruption cycle... all by ourselves. And it is crucial to our survival that we do. As 9/11 demonstrated, self-serving, mediocre, abject losers in positions of leadership can be fatal.
We must field citizen-politicians of the highest caliber. As envisioned by the founders, the citizen-politicians would ''lend'' their expertise to government and then return to private life. The culture of access, influence and self-interest--and with it, the tyranny--would literally disappear overnight.
With their obvious excellence and assisted by the new technology, the citizen-politicians would easily bypass the stacked system to capture the imagination -- and the votes -- of the masses.
BTW, I believe the graphic in your post was created by the wonderful Zacs Mom.

... which brings us to Perot....
The 19th century terminology for psychopath, was the much more approrpriate, "moral imbecile".
A Yale law school educated, wife of a State attorney general and practicing business lawyer, makes $100,000 in 1978 on a $1000 investment in retail commodity trading.
Only the functional imbeciles of the MSN would believe such a preposterous story.
As a current satirist has recently pointed out, the MSN is not "biased", they long ago sold out and have become a functioning unit of our political Left. The failure of the media to follow up on unmistakeable unambiguous corruption such as the cattle futures payoff, demonstates the medias active role in all of the subsequent corruptions engaged in by this prominent pair of moral imbeciles.
In the cattle futures incident three things are demonstratably certain and beyond doubt. Her gains were impossible to acheive legally, the criminal means for acheiving them are known, and her explanation(s) make no sense whatsoever. The failure to prosecute this crime was unexcusable.
She's already well on her way to those figures, not by trading cattle futures, but by selling our futures.
bump!
The failure to prosecute WAS inexcusable... and, hence, post #30.

I hope the Power Whore herself visits these threads once in a while. The mirror isn't a friend for someone like her. Bump!
