Al-Qaeda generally does not forecast its atrocities. But if this interview is evidence that their leadership is changing its tack, American vigilance, preparedness and deterrence were never more imperative. And politically correct anti-terrorist policies were never more potentially deadly.

El Shukrijumah is a Saudi national, but has spent most of his life in the U.S. His parents live in Florida. Might I suggest that they be put up at Club Gitmo just for the entertainment value...

I do, however, think it is possible the President is not telling the public about this guy because they DO know where he is and they don't want to panic HIM.

Might I suggest that they be put up at Club Gitmo just for the entertainment value... Either that or force them to listen to the Dixie Chicks at ear-piercing volume (John McCain doesn't lurk here, does he?) until they agree to divulge where Adnan likes to spend his days off from his study at the Broward County School for Terrorism local mosque.

Never happen, but if it did, can you imagine the screeches and howls of indignation should someone in authority actually suggest doing something like that?
There would be bleeding eardrums all around the Washington beltway.
But a good idea all the same.
And on a side note Re: your nick. If you're not petting the sweaty things, odds are you're sleeping alone.

If I ask you why this isn't on the front page of every major newspaper, will you promise not to laugh yourself into the next century? :-)
Great job, Joanie! I'm forwarding this essay to most of my Email address book.

There would be bleeding eardrums all around the Washington beltway.Sounds good to me.

Just part of a Richard Petty quote from the years past.
Don't sweat the petty things/don't pet the sweaty things.
Back when NASCAR was still real instead of trying to become the second rate nfl for TV.
Besides that I don't sleep anymore.

I never heard the "petty/sweaty" quote attributed to King Richard, but I'm not a big fan of turning left.
I just get those things running through my head, and I just have to say/type them. Impulse control isn't one of my strong suits.
As for not sleeping, I know the feeling. Going to try one more time to get to bed before giving it up for the day.
Gnite =-) I hope.....

Good luck on the sleep plan.
Take care
