Passenger aircraft approaching MIA couldn't hear the control tower due to the unfiltered junk coming from one of these pirate stations.

Contrary to popular belief, it's not hard to track these things down, and it's not just the FCC which tracks them. The FCC does shut them down pretty quickly tho.

It's not hard to track them down but I think we might be at odds on the philosophical nature of the thing.
