I'm on the fence about this one. There is a Citgo station about a half a mile from my house that is owned/operated by a local family. They have a nice business with 3 bays for car repair,tires,etc.. These folks will be hurting more than Chavez will in a boycott.

Citgo, paid for the sign and canopy and helps with certain credit issues in return for this gas station operation's promise to buy all his gas from Citgo. The contracts last 18-48 months. Once the deal runs out, the operator is free to rebrand. Citgo does not own the station. Some local guy does.

At my employers (part-time retirement extra income to keep my airplane in the air) we switched like a snap of the fingers to another supplier with a better deal. Got to think this could apply to Citgo.
