In 1866 the phrase "and subject to the jurisdiction thereof" had clear meaning, there was no need to write anymore. They understood that the phrase involved allegiance to the country.

Ok you are going into your usual p!ssing match mode, but the first sentence says "born" as in coming out of a womb on US soil. It doesn't get any clearer than that.

Don't get mad at me about Howard Jacob's mistake.

I'm going to do a Dane impression and repeat myself:

If you're so convinced you're right then when Congress passes a new law on the issue, and no doubt they will eventually you've got nothing to worry about when it gets to the USSC.
