Can someone explain to me why an advanced culture would import the dregs of the Mexican culture which depends upon fraud, graft, kickbacks and corruption in its society to deliver goods and services to its citizens?

I don't really care about importing the dregs of Mexican culture. That's what we've done throughout much of our history - import poor, hungry and hard-working people from around the world who spoke little English and cared about little more than feeding their families.

The problem with large scale illegal immigration today is that we have a huge welfare state in place. In the old days, those who could support themselves stayed, whereas those who couldn't returned to the old country. These days, those who can't support themselves leech off the welfare state. We have enough native welfare dependents. We don't need to import new dependents from abroad.

I agree with your welfare analysis. However, you are asuming assimilation will occur as it has in the past. I disagree. Multiculturalism is the current venue which is the direct opposite of assimilation.One example of the culture being imported is that approx. 2/3 of illegals do not graduate from High school.

IMO, this cannot be good for America.
