The only problem for newbies is realizing how fast this thread usually moves. Don't worry too much about keeping up, it's usually impossible. It may actually be better today with Meet The Press being pushed to the afternoon in most markets by NBC coverage of the Ryder Cup golf.

If I may be so bold, check out my preview thread that is usually posted Friday night or Saturday morning. I get the listing of who's going to be on and what the listed topics are, then do some net searches for articles and background on the guests. I'm hoping to give folks a head start on who they are and what they might be pushing by appearing on the shows.

I was doing this research for myself anyway as I found I didn't know who a lot of the guests were from week to week (except for the inevitable losers, like McCain, Biden, Schumer, etc.).  I figured I'd post it and see what others could add that I hadn't caught onto.  It's worked out for me.  Whether it's helped others you'd have to ask them.
