When I emailed my instructor for a reason, she said it wasnt fair to define history in Christian terms. The lecturer, whose videos we watch, (he is a german fellow who chairs the history department at UCLA)defines history in terms of BC and AD. Believe it or not, the new definition-BCE Before Common Era and CE Common Era, is still based on the birth of Christ!
