I'm still afraid this interview will only serve to make Clinton look good. I hope I'm wrong.
Decent people don't like bear baiting, especially when the bear is old and ill. Wallace agreed to a particular format before the interview and he should have stuck to it.
If it had been his intention to show the fecklessness of the Clinton administration he should have invited Sandy Berger for a little chit-chat.
Aside from the possibility of "gotcha" soundbites, these "interviews" are essentially useless if you're looking for information. None of the interviewers, Russert, Wallace, O'Reilly, Steffie, have the breadth and depth of knowledge or the disinterested curiosity to even know what questions to ask.
Some of the very best interviews are on the Northern Alliance Radio Network, out of Minnesota, with Hugh Hewitt (the Grand Inquisitor,) Ed Morrisey of http://captainsquartersblog.com, the great ones at http://powerlineblog.com, also Tom Maguire at http://justoneminute.typepad.com.
I'd like to see Michelle Malkin and Clarice Feldman out there acting human. Who isn't sick and insulted by the over-paid, well-fed under-achievers, the majority of whom are former butt-boys for Dem politicians, that the media moguls palm off on what they assume is a dumb, supine public?
