#956, I thought from the first time I heard that G Allen used the word "macaca" that it sounded very much like a Yiddish expression "fekakteh" meaning messed up,screwed up,very confused situation. At the time I heard it, I dismissed it as being that Yiddish expression because George Allen is not Jewish (or so we thought),and even though it is a common Yiddish expression he would not have heard the expression unless he were around older Jewish People that used those expressions. I could not shake the similarity of the sound so every time I heard someone say "macaca" it made me think of "fekakteh ,and lo and behold his Mama confessed to being Jewish. I think Allen got a unfair bunch of bad press, but since the DBM hate Israel and Conservative Jews it would have been worse if he had been repeating "Yiddish" expressions. His entire defense of his remark that night has been "fekakteh".
