The reason this is important is because of its national implications - twelve other states have pending legislation, the polling on the issue is a statistical tie, and the outcome will have a domino effect on those other twelve states. If it passes, they will likely move ahead. If it fails, it could be another decade or more before we can mount the momentum to try again.
This is the biggest chance for weakening Roe since 1989, and the first time EVER voters will have a say.
