Now if they would just address the border issue in a positive light, the Democrats would lose more ground.

If only the Republican leadership would talk more about our economic prosperity. The Wall Street Journal had an excellent book review on Thursday called "
Bad-Mouthing Prosperity" that has some excellent facts about our incredible wealth as a nation and how that wealth has grown to undreamed of levels in 35 years.

Even their anti-Wal-Mart tirades are falling short, with a majority of Americans saying the retail giant is good for the economy. Another thing the moonbats are having a hissy about is the news that Wal-Mart is going to have a get-out-the-vote campaign of their own.

By the way, bravo for Rangel's trashing of Hugo Chavez and his patriotic defense of Bush.He did NOT defend Bush, he defended his turf while accusing Bush of the same behavior Chavez was engaged in. I wish conservatives would LISTEN to what Democrats actually said.

I now think the GOP will not only keep control of Congress, it will pick up seats, in another break with the mid-term pattern for the President's party since 1934. The economy has a lot to do with it as well as the fact the Democrats are not credible on national security. Just six months ago things looked bleak. The turnaround has been stunning.

"Bush is involved in quite a political turnaround. His national-security offensive, buttressed by his strong stance on tax cuts, is working. If he keeps it up -- and there's every reason to think he will -- the GOP Congress may be poised to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. "
Exactly. Great job on Bush' part and great article.
It's interesting that others aren't pointing this out.
