Both 'parties' are merely flip-sides of the same coin, IMO. Each needs to be *thrown-out*, and replaced with *qualified citizen legislators*, IMO.

I'm calling Tancredo, Weldon, and Sensenbrenner tommorrow and telling them all to run with Spencer, Pipes, and Sperry as their ideological advisors. I think any one of those guys could win with the right management of their campaigns.
You think too big BSB, although I tend towards the same ideas. I would like to see legislators appointed by random selection, with certain requirements by a pool of selectors. I would like to see law school abolished, along with the "rule" of precendence. Laws written by citizens plainly, and the judges in trials, appointed from a pool of juries. I want to see those same legislators, reign in the power of the Executive and Judicial branch, to make it all accountable to the lowest common demoninator. High court judges could be trained in the seminary schools in logic and reason, then submitted for election for limited terms, except for SC judges, which would remain unchanged. National referendums on any issue the citizenry wants, and free beer at the elections place, AFTER you show ID and vote.
