Rick Leventhal reporting many of the people in the audience have been bused in from as far away as Alaska. This event is in a very beautiful church.
The Iranian is also supposed to give a news conference this morning. I thought it would be helpful to have one thread for both events.
Will Kennedy and Serrano show up for the photo op? Will Chavez show up? Iranian news conference in 15 minutes!

Rangel promised to retire if they lost the House.
THAT is his game.

Apparently, Chavez is hurting the democrats --- given Rangel's remarks and Joe Kennedy staying away from the ceremony/speech by Chavez in Harlem today.
As for MadMood -- he was the guest of the UN.
When he opens his mouth, President Bush and the GOP benefit.

Thanks for the ping. I've been out of pocket for a couple of hours - I am waaay behind on this morning's happenings. Is Chavez with this group of nut jobs? I thought he left town under the cover of darkness last night.

The greatest generation is right now in Iraq and Afghanistan fighting. They are all serving in all of our branches of service right now. They are our volunteer military. No disrespect to WWII veterans but even WW2 has the draft.

Okay, this is one of the strangest days ever. What is up with Rangel? Dems will lose in November and they know it. This is so weird.
To: FarRightFanatic
Yeah, really. Rangel translation: "Only those of us in the Demoncratic party are allowed to call President Bush the devil. It is OUR job to trash him. Hugo, shut your trap, you're going to lose the next election for us!"Nah, the Democrats see the internal polling data and have broken new ground by chiding Chavez. Chavez ain't the rockstar they all hoped he would be.

Listening to Charlie Rangel spin. Wonder how he feels about Americans going to foreign countries and bad-mouthing President Bush? Or is that somehow different?

He looked like he might have a gun to his back.LOL, honestly hearing (on the radio) his defense of the President was stunning.

You are, of course, right. We've got two greatest generations!

Rerunning Rangel: Rangel said something along the lines of Bush and Chavez can attack each other all they want, but Chavez shouldn't come to this country and attack our president.

Rush is all over this right now. They sent Rangel because he is in a safe district. If they were serious they would come out as a group. Rush just said, "that the backlash is in full gear."

I read on an earlier thread (maybe this one?) that many of the CITGO owners have been covering the CITGO name of their station and replacing it with "Petro Express"
