Rick Leventhal reporting many of the people in the audience have been bused in from as far away as Alaska. This event is in a very beautiful church.
The Iranian is also supposed to give a news conference this morning. I thought it would be helpful to have one thread for both events.
Will Kennedy and Serrano show up for the photo op? Will Chavez show up? Iranian news conference in 15 minutes!

Exactly why they are doing it, both of them. As someone said earlier, if this country wasn't already divided, theirs seems to be a divide a conquer strategy. And remember, half of the United States is on the SAME side as the rest of the world who hates us. Their tag team act is no accident, IMO.

Kennedy will probably use the death of his aunt as his excuse. I'm sure he would have walked over the woman's dead body for a photo op with Chavez if he thought it would help him. I keep reading about "internal democrat polls" being devastating for the democrats.

Now we are awaiting Chavez comments. Brenda reports crude prices are edging up. Many analysts say that prices will drop to $50/bbl. "Take that!" Brenda says to Iran and Venezuela. Dow heading to all-time high.
Fox is going to cover how Citgo is owned by Venezuela and controlled by Chavez in about half an hour.
