Rick Leventhal reporting many of the people in the audience have been bused in from as far away as Alaska. This event is in a very beautiful church.
The Iranian is also supposed to give a news conference this morning. I thought it would be helpful to have one thread for both events.
Will Kennedy and Serrano show up for the photo op? Will Chavez show up? Iranian news conference in 15 minutes!

Eyewitness News has learned that Hugo Chavez, who was to appear in Harlem at a Baptist church at 11:00 this morning to announce his home heating oil assistance program, that has now been canceled. The program was to help low income NYC residents, by giving them a discount at about 30 to 45 percent. According to the Venezuelan mission Chavez had a conflict in his schedule but Eyewitness News has learned from some sources he may have left the country entirely, last night at 10:30 p.m FNC reported this morning that Joe Kennedy was supposed to appear with Chavez in Harlem, but later backed out citing family obligations.
My guess is that Chavez then changed his own schedule! lol FNC at that time said that Chavez was still in NYC. Guess we'll find out soon.

Chavez is a maniac of the scariest.
Before Chavez is done we in our lifetime will see Chavez start a war against Colombia to unite his Grand Colombian Nation.
