I'd like to add that the same struggle is going on for two parent households as well. Those of us who weren't lucky enough for one reason or another to go to college and get 6 figure incomes are being denied the american dream because of this problem, yet the dream is being dangled in front of us every day. We are taxpayers who will most likely never be able to help our children through college because the price of everything has risen due to illegal aliens sucking off our societies coffers.
