I am no fan of his liberal policies, but we could do a hell of a lot worse.

Rudy before Hillary, Rudy before McCain as far as I'm concerned. But why do we seem to settle? How come our attitude isn't - we can do a hell of a lot better?

Unfortunately, we do have to think about electability. Santorum is my man...I'm proud to have him serve as my Senator, but there is no way he would ever get elected. A Giuliani vs. just about anybody match would result in a Rudy victory, and while some of his policies might be too liberal for some of us, we have to consider what would be better for the country...a strong willed anti-terrorist who will protect this nation at all costs despite some of his failings, or a Feingold/Hillary/liberal pansy candidate who will hold up the white flag and surrender.

When you say we can do a "hell of a lot better", who did you have in mind?
