Reid: parents must heed 'tell-tale signs' of extremism

John Reid, the Home Secretary, has challenged British Muslims to do more to identify potential terrorists.

Mr Reid met an audience of specially-invited Muslims in Leytonstone in London's East End to urge parents to "look for the tell-tale signs" of radicalisation in their children.
During the speech a small protest was made by two men.
One man, later identified as activist Abu Izzadeen, stood up and began heckling Mr Reid, calling the Home Secretary an "enemy" of Islam, before being led from the building by police and stewards.
Shouting at Mr Reid he said repeatedly: "How dare you come to a Muslim area when you have arrested so many Muslims in this area?"
A second man was ejected from the building a few minutes later after he also interrupted Mr Reid's speech. He emerged from the venue clutching several posters, one of which said: "John Reid you will pay!"
Mr Reid was at the meeting to ask parents to search for signs that their children are being recruited by "fanatics" who will "brainwash" them and convince them to serve as suicide bombers.
In his speech Mr Reid said it was vital that Muslims and the Western world were united.
He said terrorists were not Muslims "in the true sense of the word".
He went on: "They are militants who seek to achieve their aims through the forces of terror and violence.
"They cloak their language in the rhetoric of Islamic teachings, but they behave in ways that contradict the very principles of the Islamic faith."
Mr Reid said terrorist fanatics were on the hunt for young vulnerable minds to help their cause.
"There is no nice way of saying this. These fanatics are looking to groom and brainwash children, including your children, for suicide bombings.
"Grooming them to kill themselves in order to murder others."
The Home Secretary said by protecting families the community would protect itself.
They're already claiming parts of Britain.
One of the first "tell-tale signs" is if the kid registers to vote as a DemocRAT.
I guess the whole world wants "DIVERSITY" including Bush. The illegals from Mexico are already committing a crime wave in America.
