California has, for the last 60 or so years, been the lynchpin of the U.S. in many ways, including of course economically, research, aerospace, technology, etc. The decline in the culture is shocking though, and disgusting to any decent person. My first exposure to California came in 1980 and I found it to be a BIZARRE mixture of the 1st and 3rd worlds, and it has been downhill since then. You decent Californians need to reclaim what is still good and chase the socialists out, at gunpoint if necessary.
Yes there are some beautiful and nice places. We used to ride our motorcycles up through Julian and out to Borrego Springs and around the Salton Sea. Met lots of good and interesting people, many away from the coast, as you stated. At that time I just could not stand being away from the coast (surfing, occupation, etc.), and it was just a crowded, violently terratorial mess. I could not believe that we had to actually fight people because we were at "their" surfspot. I did not mind too much since they were mostly drugged pussies who fought like undisciplined skells. But, I must say that the Oxnard crew was not to be tangled with if one had less that a squad of Marines on your side, which on one occassion we did.

.....yup....I used to surf in my younger years....way younger...but I'm in NorCal so it was Santa Cruz and Capitola mainly....but I lived in San Diego in the mid 80s and went to grad school after Bezerkely at SDSU so I know that area well..Juliann...yum, apple pie....and I'm not all that accomplished a surfer....mostly board under one arm and beer in the other......but seemed to me that most of the surfer dudes were very territorial....especially the Huntington Beach bozos.....
Dan Fouts did something similar during the National Championship game between OSU and Miami (2003). During overtime, OSU called a time out and a camera crew peared over the players gathered around the coach who was discussing the upcoming play. Fouts said, "Did you hear that? The coach called ..." And he proceeded to detail the next play. And he said this more than a minute before the play got under way - plenty of time for an alert assistant to hear the broadcast and relay to the bench and then players on the field.
Yeah HB could be fun. My skinny surf buddy got his eye dotted more than once at the pier before I could get there to help him out. He was a crap magnet.
I can't remember the name of the break in Palos Verdes, but we did not even make it out of the car before some yahoo was swingin' at us through an open window. We made a tactical retreat that day, but returned in force another day.
All my Californian friends could not understand why I wanted to leave. I could not understand why they wanted to stay. My last trip there was as a contestant in a military surf contest at Trestles. I'm not sure what could get me to visit again, but it would have to be good, and I would have to be armed as I am able to be now.
.....sounds like you spent a ton of time in So Cal....but Nor Cal is so much different.....greener, prettier, not a desert like LA and San Diego and the people up here are so much friendlier and family like.....I lived down in the Southland for 10 years and I"m not the only one who says that....even SF is fun to visit but I wouldn't want to live there....but alot of Calif, north of Sacramento is beautiful and conservative and more rural than city.... I prefer it up north 100 times more then LA......plus the weather has seasons here, you don't see the illegal aliens running all over the place....and it is a hell of alot less croweded.....have a nice night........

Well, I had to debunk the "Fag School" comment with a picture of the USC Spirit Squad in Hawaii last fall.
Heck, I thought UWF was Berkeley in the Panhandle...never thought about FSU...lol...I don't let them guys from the poosy school bother me none...and what about Tim Tebow? Wow! I'm a fan even though he knocked my son's team out of the high school playoffs. He's the Real Deal.

I always thought that the insults hurled at the Seminoles/FSU were just all hyperbole until I lived near Tally for 6 years. That school is truly crap. Any school that would willingly hire T.K. Wetherell as president is seriously mentally deficient.
As far as the penis envy thing: Some folks just take themselves too seriously, especially when they are grouped in with the everpresent Fag society that their locale is known for. I was pretty rough on them, so son't hold it against him.

Yep, NoCal is a different world, geographically and culturally. I spent too little time up there, but did enjoy it, except for the COLD water. Take care..

I bet if it was FSU or scUM they just would have covered it up. I applaud Meyer for that, even though it could hurt us bad, Thomas has been a stud so far on the DL.

Yeah, UF has been good about discipline since the scandal days. Even that visor throwing fella had integrity. It just gives us something else to stick in the face of FSU fans, not that we really need more.
.....well I'm not shallow enough to not ping someone in when I'm insulting them behind my back.....so I guess our nice chat last night was for naught.....and sorry Mr. Ealge Eye, and Expatgator, it was not me that started the insults so it seems to me that it is YOU guys that seem threatened. I learned a long time ago that it is the cowards way out to not ping someone you are talking about. It is you guys that should be shoring up your academic programs.....as far as fag society.....I assure you that most of the guys I know, especially from our Natl Champ Rugby teams could kick the ever living crap out of you guys ...but of course...you only want to whine and cry on a message board........
