He said his grandfather's incarceration by the Germans had a profound effect on his mother; that because it was a painful memory, it was almost never discussed. "Some may find it odd that I have not probed deeply into the details of my family history, but it's a fact," Allen said in his statement. Speaking with The Times-Dispatch, Allen said the disclosure is "just an interesting nuance to my background." He added, "I still had a ham sandwich for lunch. And my mother made great pork chops."

He was heck to download.
I'm afraid she's right, newbie. I think your sensitivity meter needs a skotch of adjusting! ;o)
But, hey, if you aren't really a troll, welcome!
I promised Corin I will not rip Allen till after he wins...and he will win in Nov.
But then the gloves are off.
Wow, tough crowd.
That's what I wanna know!
"George Allen is really not ready for prime time. After an excellent smack down on MSM and Webb's slimey campaign yesterday, I just don't quite understand why he made these following stupid comments."
This is why we have primaries. I personally don't think a few comments can disqualify a candidate.
The substance of the candidate is, what are the candidate's views on issues? What will be his/her policies? What is his/her character?
My current rating of potential Republican candidates for POTUS is:
1. Jeb Bush
2. George Allen
3. Pence
4. Tancredo
Big Gap
99. Mit Romney
100. McCain
101. Pataki
102. Guiliani
Begone, troll!
Allen's best response to that would be something like "I'm not Jewish enough to feel guilty about not keeping Kosher, but I am Jewish enough to be hated by anti-Semites."
Who says? Conservative and Orthodox don't touch it but the moderate/secularists do.
It'll be Rudy or Romney. Pick your guy.
I'd like to see Pence run but he won't.
Go protest something, or better still, go get a real job.
You don't know many Jews do you? And you're not that cute.
make no mistake. I am not offended by Allen. But why he constantly chooses those weird answers that can be distorted by not only MSN but also super-sensitive Jewish people.
Jews are our friends, not enemy.
it would be strange if they were practicing jews?
ughhhhhh
LOL! No, what's bizarre is how thick you are. His point was that neither he nor his mother followed Jewish dietary laws because they did not consider themselves Jewish.
OK?
This was a "are you now or have you ever been a Jew"?? disgusting question by a girl named Peggy Fox....isn't that a JEWISH name, Fox?? She sounded ACCUSATORY.
Oh great.
Someone else from the "I'm not anti-semite, I have Jewish friends" crowd.
nudge, nudge, wink, wink
