LoL the RATS have no fear of Allen. Why should they? He would have far less of a chance of winning than Rudy. Actually I don't know of ANY one with a fear of him.
It certainly would not upset me should he win the nomination (since that would show he is formidable) and I believe he could beat Hillary but it would be much more difficult than with Guiliani. As I said Allen was my early favorite but he seriously needs a major league handler.
Most conservative politicians are not even considered conservative around here. They are almost all RINOS to hear the self-annointed tell it.
he is an incumbent, to hell with him
All the Libs/Rats can't stand George Allen the same way they can't stand George Bush. And there just as afraid of him. He would crush any candidate they could ever even think of putting up.
She was WELL known here. The Governor needs to have a close link to FR apparently. I knew immediately that he had made a big mistake. If he knew nothing of her he should not have said anything.
If your version of events is true that merely re-affirms the point that the Treason Media easily traps him in mistakes. Not good even with your best face on it.
My hope was that he would be the VP nominee and prepare for the big job after a few more years. Now I am skeptical of even that.
cutepanda aka waterloofan, kayaking, lexmart, slotegraaf, buffalo1, rumormill, torch, firestorm, heart, artificialheart, royalfighter, venturepopcorn, landslidewin, landslide, bushlandslide, dailykos, et al zotted again.
Probably because it isn't relevant. Should someone with political aspirations be "warned" that his grandfather was Jewish? What difference does it make?
So what's the Senator's Freeper name?
Thanks, Jim.
I s'pose it'd be too much to ask you to temporarily zot the rest of our "friends" trashing Senator Allen until...maybe November 8?
I'm just askin' is all...
;-)
Huh?
Dear Shimmer128,
Well, I guess he's appealing to the shallow jerk constituency. In that I thought the joke was kinda cute and even a bit funny, I guess I'm part of that constituency.
I promise you, it is large enough to elect Sen. Allen to the presidency.
;-)

Thanks, Jim, for takin' out the trash!
MACACA!
You apparently expect the Senator to be reading here everyday.
Look, at the worst the Sheehan comment was bad interview prep.
The macaca "incident" was all fabricated hysteria from the left, and that's what they're trying to do with this.
I've said this countless times before, I don't care who folks support for 2008. Sure, I'm behind Allen, and I have been for years.
What baffles me is people on "our" side falling for the leftist/media onslaught to discredit him.
In addition to the time I'm spending here when I should be working, I'm spending hours each night fighting the socialists in the Virginia blogosophere. No, I'm not paid, and thankfully, I'm not alone.
But with the control of the House and Senate on the line, I just don't get FReepers who claim to be conservatives taking their cues from the RAT playbook to trash George Allen.
So maybe all these things make him not your candidate for 2008.
Fine.
But don't stab him (and us) in the back while we try to get him re-elected to the Senate.
I could've told you that years ago.
This guy is the quintessential white-bread politician. He is a Conservative Kerry. Every word out of his mouth is calculated|filtered. I do not think I have ever seen him in a "real" moment all the years he has been serving this state.
Even these comments are wac. He acknowledges some sort of implied Jewish background...which if true is good...he then runs away from it with the pork references....which is bad because it makes you immediately think: Why did he just qualify his remarks?
" He is constantly "on".
I have. And you're way off base.
I have not been "stabbing" Allen in the back. Not supporting him in 08 for President is far from stabbing him anywhere. Nor do I have any desire to stab him. I actually just want him to stop falling for these Treason Media stunts. Even this last idiocy was not handled properly. His initial reaction of anger was fine as was the statement issued later. He should have stopped there.
There was nothing wrong with his comments to the RAT spy but a great deal wrong with him apologizing for something he should never have apologized for. He should have won re-election in a walk but created problems for himself I didn't.
I usually like jokes, this one just didn't do it for me.
It seemed...sort of forced sounding.
:)
