Now people seem to be taking note, and wondering why all of a sudden there are people working at the mine sites around here who cannot speak a lick of English.

It's not just mines. I stopped in at our local hamburger joint last week and no one but me and the employees spoke English.

I have been to McDonald's & Taco Bell here in the KC metro area & the kitchen help does not speak English, the drive up window spoke with an accent, & may not have spoken English. Latinos using the local laundry-mat driving a better vehicle than I do. Usually all but one or two employees at Chipoltes speak Spainish, & I have the English speaking employees be rude to me badly enought 2 times to write them & not return.

This is the major reason we have stopped eating fast food. I need to speak either Spanish or Creole as most of the people taking orders do not speak English so it takes forever to get it ordered, and often the order is wrong. It's frustrating, but it's probably good for my health.
