Yes. When I was in school back in the "caveman days" (1940's-1950') in world history classes we learned how the English word "Assassin" was derived from the arabic "hashish".
(I guess the modern school system in America doesn't teach such facts these days.)
In other words, the product now called "hash" is 100% muslime. They used it to "get high" prior to killing their selected victim. Killing IS their culture. Alway has been.
However alcohol in any form is a
sin punishable by death....
(By muslimes high on hashish eg: "hash")
Interesting isn't it?
(PC: Politically correctness is just great! doncha think?)
(PC: Politically correctness is just great! doncha think?)Please do not misunderstand. I do not seek to minimize or trivialize the pain, suffering, and tragedy that alcohol use (and abuse) causes. This subject being discussed would have a different ring if Southern Baptists, Jehovas Witnesses, or Mormons were involved. All of which shun the use or abuse of alcohol. And none of which advocate the use of illicit compounds. Yet most people recognize that medicinal compounds, including alcohol (think NYQUIL) serve a remedial purpose upon occaison.
