FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 19, 2006
CONTACT: Brendan Daly/Jennifer Crider 202-226-7616 Pelosi Statement on President Bushs Speech at the United Nations
Washington, D.C. House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today on President Bushs speech at the United Nations in New York:
It is one thing to give a speech about promoting peace, freedom, and democracy in broad, general terms as President Bush did at the United Nations today. It is another to commit to doing the hard work of diplomacy on a daily basis to resolve matters such as Irans nuclear ambitions, Syrias support for Hezbollah, and the issues that divide Israelis and Palestinians.
The Presidents words need to be matched by sustained diplomatic engagement with our allies, and directly with our adversaries when necessary not just when elections are near, but all the time. Mr. Bushs rhetoric must be matched by policies that are well devised and competently implemented unlike the policies that have made the United States less safe, such as the war in Iraq or the failure to finish the fight against terrorists in Afghanistan.
Puce Pelosi would be like her mentor, the hildebeast, and sell the WH Lincoln Bedroom to the highest-bidding islamic monster.
She is a bitch. (Can I say that here?)
Same as Dean's statement. "You suck, but we don't have any ideas, except jamming as many buzzwords into our speeches as possible. Oh, yeah: 'peace,' 'diplomacy,' 'smarter.'"
Boy she gets on my nerves.
It is annoying when people advise you to do what you are already doing. But, Pelosi knows that.
Your took the words right out of my mouth.
No compliments allowed. Sorry.
"A malicious, spiteful, domineering, intrusive and/or mean woman" http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/bitch
My witchinary says 'yes' you may.
I call her Pelosisaurus. A liberal dinosaur.
And someone on the live thread said of course you can't have a Dem response to a UN speech!
This is when I'd like to have an animated gif of fingernails scratching a chalkboard.
Written last night.
She can do better. Nowhere within the response is the term "swiftboating." She must have been in a hurry.
Like it matters...
You knew this was coming.
