Could we quit stampeding at every rumor and claim? How are we to find out the real story if we cannot ask questions??

I have no problem with questions or rumors. I am distressed by this habit of every claim or accusation being reported as "Fact".
Our enemies know this habit so they run around plant these fraudulent stories. Like Rush calls them, they Drive up, spray the target and roar off. MAYBE we should be careful in letting them manipulate us.
Go reread the thread. People were all convinced by the rumors. I am merely suggest people might want to actually wait and see what is actually confirmed rather then stampede at the 1st rumor that floats around.
I would have no problem if "Well this is being reported at such and such" or "such and such is reporting...." That is never how these are presented. They are always presented as "These Republicans are doing this to us..."
Later we usually find out the 1st claims were partly, mostly or totally false. So by all means write your Senators and pressure them on it. I send 5 emails a day to 5 different Senators on this. But you have a better chance of being effective if you are clam and politie rather then lighting them up for something that may, or may not, be true.
