WASHINGTON - Former President Jimmy Carter, convinced the November election carries ''momentous historical importance'' to the U.S. image abroad, is urging Americans overseas to cast their ballots. Carter, the first honorary chair of Democrats Abroad, a group that encourages U.S. residents living overseas to continue to participate in elections, said in a telephone interview Monday that his travels have revealed ''consternation, disappointment, sometimes animosity and embarrassment'' toward the United States -- aimed particularly at the war in Iraq and the Guantánamo Bay detention center, which some European allies have called for closing.
So clearly Jimmuh hasn't been talking to any of our service people overseas.
Wonderful....they have created a NEW job for him...so he can go all around the world and continue to propagandize against the USA??
What is he going to do...try for a coup d'etat by long distance???
What an embarassment our Dem ex-POTUS' are---they should do as Ford has done...retire.
This is just NOT a good precedent that they are starting...but, I have NO DOUBT that once Pres. Bush is out of office, you will NOT find him going around the world putting the USA in further danger by critisizing the POTUS/CIC AND MILITARY!!!
Exceptions to include: The United States Military stationed overseas...
