With getting near 10% of the population, and concentrated in one area, this sounds like the tipping point for moslem attempt at take-over. That is a concern. And Thaksin doesn't grease the palm of the military like so many PMs before him. He brought a businessman's style of governance (he owned Shin satellite, the major distributer of satellite services throughout the regions) to Thailand. There is evidence that the Army wants things the old way.
